Wore also noted, Between the fibers of the liver cells were also monocytes and neutrophiles but the hematopoietic nidus could harbly be recognized.
The liver cells in general were badly discolored, inflamed, and
swollen; the protoplacm was vacuolated, The adipose developsaent involved
chiefly the liver cells in and ground the necrotic nidus; the nuclei were
swollen, The distribution of chroratin was uneven}; it was concentrated
in places and there vas a tendency to overconcentration in the nuclear
nenbrane. The fibers of liver cells separated from the necrotic nidus
shoved areas of gicnt multinuclear hegatic cells. The Zupffer's stellate
czllg were mobilised, fatty, and granular and had gormandized the hemo-~
siderin or bile pisonent; the nuclei were dseply colored and soue were
srall. The liver cells were especially prosinent sround the necrotic
nidus and shoved gozrandization of bile pignent and hemosiderin} the
giant multinuclear AUspatic cells elso abserbed these pigrents.
These findings are somewhat sinilar to the picture in abnormal pro~
gressive hepatitis, but we are now studying it in the light of new
cevelopsents in radiaticn hepatitis.

7. The kidneys showed severe cholemic nephrotic degeneration. Bile
pigment and henoisiderin had entered the Bowman's capsules and the uriniferous tubules, The epithelial cells of the main part of these pigznents
were gormandized and slight fatty developnent was noted in the epithelium
of the uriniferous tubules. This was essumed to indicate inpedinent in
the metabolism of iron.

9. Doel of tneutonia were observed in the upper and lower lobss of
the left lung and in the upper loba of the right lung. As the result
of research by tir. Ohuhira of the Pathology Department of Tokyo Univergity, it was dexonstrated bacteriologically that there was mixed infection of Aspergillus funiratus in the pneumonia nidus. Hany emphyserateus
lung cells vere found in other parts of the lungs and congestion and
etema were obServcd in places. Catarrh was observad in the mucous mnezbrane of the bronchus.
