in the asditori.m of Toichi Hospital on 2 November 1954. is the sumnary of tho reports: The following 1. The rarrov of the fesur, stern.m, and flium showed soma regeneration at the centers but thore was capillary enlargement. Necrotic cells were observed near the diaphyses, Mature and immature growth was still observed in the leskocyte system and giant marrow colls. Part of the last-reriod leukenic shape reaction can be explained by the regenerative phenozznon of this central part, but it is still a prodvlem for st.dy. 2, the lymph nodes of the mesentery, armpit, neck, and pancreas head sere all atrophic; embryonic nuclei were not observed. The lymphatic sinuses were anple and the reticulo-cndothelial cells showed sone prominent mobilization. The nobilized endothelial cells presented the picture of heroisiderosis and phagocytosis in the red blood corpuscles or nuclei; on the other hand, Cezeneration and maultinucication were observed in the endothelial cells, and adhesion of a glassy s.bstance wes noted in the cortex. (Sea photozraph 9.) 3. The testicles appeared to be considerably atrophied; the strona NGS Spirse and edecatous, The basal recbrane of the evniniferois tubules was Conspis:ously scollen, ‘Thore were very few spor: atocyies aad thoy were scarcely in evidence at certain places. Spervatoroa weve diffierlt to find either in the seniniferois tubules or in the epididyuis. In short, sporvatogenesis was greatly ipeded. Sertolita cells and lesdie's cells were easily reco ,nized. (fee photcograph No 10.) 4. Changes in the skin did not include excessively horay lesions 3 the stratum germinativum was thin, Partial vacuolation of the epicermis was observed. The stratum gerninativum extended somewhat toward the corium at places where there was pignented dermatitis lesion; the cells in such places were heavily pigmented with solanin. The auxiliary organs of the radix pili and skin were atrophied at certain places, There was Slight degeneration in the bleod vessels of the stratum papillare and corium, the areas around the blood vessels shoved infiltration of lymphocytes. 5. Ccgencrative necrosis was severe in the liver cells ead the primary center 22s ussaured to lie in the lebulf hepatis; but centers occurred also in the Glissoa's capsule, which was irregular, and these new locations were siniler to the findings at the time of red-yellow atrophy. At this old necrotic site, the latticed fiber had increased and some had turned to gelatino:s fibrils; the new part shoved degeneration of the latticed flbor. When the nidas of the necresis was extensive, the liver colla were ,artly regenerated; binuclear liver cells were observed. There was a tendoncy tovard the formation of psdueo-lobules; these Little tubcrs again turned to fat from the circumference inward, in places, betarne necrotic, or develored into Kallory bodies. The area eround the recrotic nidus shewed proliferation of the biliary canaliculi. In pleces, giant hepatic cells were observed with ag rany as seven nuclei. Billary plugs wsre also corparatively numerous and were assumed to arise from degenerative obstructions caused by necrosis of the liver cells or inflarratory cehl infiltration into the Glisson's capsule; the biliary pligs occurred rastly in the necrotic nidis near the capsule. The Glisson's capsile shoved moverate faflacoestory cell infiltration by - 10 —
