He pointed out"that such a reduction probably would result in a 30per cent decrease in the numbers of weapons produced in FY60, The Commissioners said they found it difficult to understand how a cut of 8 percent in funds could cause such a large reduction in the number of weapons and requested a more detailed report on the effects of holding the weapons budget at $500, 000, 000.''
