The General Manager stated that the three services had approved the report and had requested concurrence of the Atomic Energy Commission in the Appendix, a draft instruction from the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the Commander in Chief, Pacific. Mr. Volpe inquired whether the proposed instruction had been dis~ cussed with the Department of State. General McCormack stated that he understood that the instruction had been cleared by the Department of State. After discussion, the Commission: CONCURREDin the Appendix to AEC 9/8. At this point Messrs. Fisher, Volpe, Golden, Jones, Farley, and McCormackleft the meeting and Mr. Bloch entered. 2.
