Dear Dr. Conard:

Thank you for the newspaper clipping describing the thyroid
damage that occurred to some of the children on Rongelap

following the bomb-testing accident in 1954; also the diligence

with which you have been following these children with replacewent therapy.

As you mention, Donald Tindal is working on the continuation
of the rental agreement with Amata Kabua, Fortunately,
Senator Kabua is here on Saipan now attending the Congress
of Micronesia. We will use this article to help emphasize
the importance of your continued and uninterrupted medical
care.
I am under the impression that no serious road block
is expected in the contract agreement,
