Dear Will:
Each of the samples of plasma which I sent you was preserved with
a few grains of mercuric chloride.
This was the only preservative
agent that we had available to us and may be responsible for the
paste-like appearance. I hope you can find someone who is enough
of a chemist to dissolve this coagulum so that the samples can be
counted.
There should be more than 2 ml in each of these samples.
