Dear Mr. Martin:

Folder _#* 3.

I would like to thank you for acting es technical advisor on
fallout during the Spring 1953 muclear tests. It may be that
you were called on only infrequently but the fact that Public

Health officials and others ikmew of a place te turn fer advice
was a valuable asset in maintaining good public relations.
The attached Atomic Energy Commission's Fourteenth Sexi-Annual
Report to Congress gives a summery of the fallout data results
for the pant series. If you wish further information, I will
be pleased to try to furnish it.
Attached also is a slide rule for computing dose rates and

total doses for fission products, based on the ~1.2 principle.
I believe the rule is in errer in the marking of the 7th hour

on the innermost scale.

Sincerely yours,
