I have been advised by Dr. Conard that his recent survey ef the

exposed Marshallese has resulted in the fact that 5 people will

be brought to the United States for further medical treatment
and possibly thyreid surgery im June 1973. ‘Two people will be
from Utirik and three from Rongelap plus ene interpreter. I
estimate that logistic suppert for the six people will be at
$1,000 per person, making a total of $6,000. The tentative schedule is
for the people to meet at Kwajalein and depart on May 30 for Honelulu, depart Henelulu en June 1 fer New York, lesve New York about

June 12 and return to their respective islands by June 16. Your
help in obtaining an additional 6K for Conard's program for this
purpose is requested.
