The local press has reported that “radioactive falloutsa"®
were detected, for the first time here, on July 28, by in-
atruments of the National Taiwan University. The Embaasy would
be interested to learn, under whatever security classification
may be appropriate, of the results of analysis of specimens
submitted by the Embassy on July 28 and sontiguous dates, together with any other data that may be supplied for background
er other use, as directed by the Department and the Atomics
Energy Commission, in case the Embassy receives inquiries on
the subject.
