In addition, there is one woman 41 years of age who was found to have what appears to be a solitary thyroid nodule. The Journal of the American Medical Association has accepted for publication an article by Dr. Conard summarizing 10 years of observations on the Rongelap people and which includes information on the three cases of thyroid tumor noted last year.
