I have no objection to the ecological surveys being carried
out along with the medical surveys.
However, remember we
plan on living on Rongelap Island for the period of the
surveys and will therefore have no transportation available
for the. ecological survey team,
I have discussed with Dr. Farr all of these recent developments
and he concurs in the action taken; he feels that later on,
perhaps in the Fall, that it would be wise for me to visit the
Trust Territory to make definitive arrangements for the 1962
survey.
