I. 96960 Dear Oscar: In order that we may start at some future time an evaluation of Bikini copra, I should like to obtain some samples from current production of the Majuro plant. This will permit Livermore to develop analytical procedures and to obtain information with which to compare the Bikini material when it becomes available. We require samples from three different production days, as follows; Raw unprocessed copra Coconut oil Cake pellets 2 pounds ea, day 1 pint ea. day 1 pound ea, day These samples should be taken at such time and in such a manner that the copra, the oil and the cake will ali represent the same batch. Each day's samples should be clearly marked to show the date collected and the original source (island or atoll) from which the copra was obtained. The sets of samples should be packaged, addressed to Dr. Bill Robison, LLL, and sent to Ted Murawski, Global Assoc., Kwajalein for further forwarding. Should there be any charge for the requested materials or handling, please notify Bill Stanley who will arrange for reimbursement. Komol Tata, RR: cm ccs 65. stanley, Dir. PASO Dr. Wm.
