The forthcoming Survey is the off-year survey and will consist in examination only of the exposed people of Rongelap(living at Rongelap, Ebeye and Majuro). The unexposed comparison population will not be examined routinely this time. Of course the thyroid examinations in the exposed group will be complete with blood studies. IL hope we find that the thyroid condition is beginning to quiet down. Since we have been having difficulty in getting the people to take their thyroid medication, I hope that we will be able to establish a better regimen on the next survey. I am presenting the following concrete plan for consideration, realizing that some changes may be necessary. Proposed Schedule: T.T. Feb. Feb, Feb, Feb. Mar. and U.S. Medical teams arrive prior to Feb. 25. 24 T.IT. ship(preferably Militobi) arrives Kwajalein; load ship. 25 T.f. ship departs for Rongelap. 26 “on "arrives Rongelap-offload. Ship may depart completion offloading. 27 - Mar. 8 Exams Rongelap. 8 T.T. Mar. 9 "nwo Mar. 10 "nu Mar. 11 - 15 Mar. (Trust Territory Time) 16 ship arrives. 6 departs for Kwajalein. "arrives Kwajalein - offloads - may then procede at will. Exams Ebeye. Army plane takes team and equipment to Majuro. Mar. 16 - 18 Exams Majuro.
