For the high energy component, the half-value thick-— Mev, ness is about 800 microns and the range about 8000 microns. Since no estimate could be made of the anount of material on the skin surface or length of tine it remained there, only rough estinates based on clinical evidence could be made of the skin beta doses, (See Reference 16).
