| 139 Bidg. @otors, a number of which are in storage at Cooper Development Corporation's
voor pagezines at their Plant #3 in Fontana, California. We request your approval
and authorization to Cooper Development Corporation to use between 130 and 252
LOKI motors on our work with the understanding that we will replace the saount
used.
AS part of the radiochenistry program of this Laboratory in Operation Hardtack,
Cooper Development Corporation is designing and menufacturing « rocket systen
whieh wili be used for particulate air sampling. The design calle for two and
possibly three stages of eotore. The LOKI’s would provide the secend end poseibly third stages. Our reason in requesting the loan is that Cooper cannot
possibly fabricate and have loaded the required nusber of LOKE |Pounds in tine to
meet our schedules.
We are prime contractors to the Atomic Energy Commission operating wider Contract
W-7hOS-Eng-68. Our Subcontract 108 has been fesued to Cooper Developuent Corporetion, Monrovia, Califormia, in order to execute our requiresents vhich aiso includes
considerable effort epecifically for the Departecnt of Military Application of the
AKC and is of interest to MRDL in their position in Rardtack Frogran 2.4.1.
We appreciate your cooperation, and request your approval at the earliest poesibie
date, Tt is our understanding that the posaibilieies ef the above arrangement
heve been discussed between wenbers of your eteff ant the Cooper Devrelcrpasnt
Corporation, and 1t vas felt that there would be no interference to your progras
and that the ican could thus be approved.
