Objectives
The objectives of this project include the collection of fall-out
samples for the documantation of physical characteristics as a function |

of time and distance and to provide sanples for radiochemical analysis
by Project 2.6b.
Instrusentation
One intermittent fall-out collector was placed on the Project 6.5
barge anchored near the reef southwest of Bogallua and on each of the

following islands: Bogallua, Bogombogo, Ruchi, Bogon, Engebi, Kirinian,

Bokonoaarappu, Aitsu, Biijiri, and Rigili.

to sample at 30 minute intervals for a total time of 12 hours.
These instruments wre set

instrunent, sefé for 5 minute intervals for a total tims of 2 hours was
located on Ruchi and Bogon.
All instruments were set to begin sampling
after the first water wava, assumed to be traveling at lO mph,
had pas-
sed the stations; the delay ranged from 5 minutes at Ruchi and Bogon to
26 minutes at Rigili.
The collectors operated at Logallua, Bogombogo, Engebi, Bokonaaraspu,
and Aitsu.
