Dear John:
A note on the molting of the coconut crab which has been
submitted to Nature (London) is enclosed.
As we learn more
about this beast we should come to understand why their
strontium-90 content is so much higher than that of other
organisms.
Everything seems to be in good order for the coming
Rongelap trip.
The schedule and requirements as originally submitted
to USAEC,
Honolulu,
are
enclosed.
It looks as
if
the actual
schedule will be very close to the same.
“I still hope that you will decide to come out for part
of the coming August trip.
We should have some fairly exact
dates for that trip when we return from this one.
