Project 2.1 - Gamma Exposure Vs Distance - P. Brown
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this project was to document the initial and residual
gamma exposure on Bikini Atoll using various types of dosimeters.
INSTRUMENTATION
Residual stations were located on almost every islend in the Atoll,
Initial stations were located on the Namu - Yurochi reef.
RESULTS
The residual information will be included in the final report.
from
200 to 1000 r of residual rediation obliterated the initiel gamma exposure
results from the more distant reef stations.
At the close stations the
exposures were greater than 10° r causing the photographic dosimeters to
saturate.
Chemical dosimeters at these locations heve been returned to the
