OpenNet Requirements

All documents declassified and publicly releasable on or after
October 1, 1994, must have bibliographic information made available to be
entered into the Department of Energy (DOE) OpenNet database. The minimum
requirements are as follows:

Title of the document
Location of the document (where the public can obtain a copy)
Originating organization

Declassification status (declassified, sanitized, never classified,
etc...)

Document type (memo, letter, report, etc...)

Software that is compatible with the OpenNet is available from Office of
Scientific and Technical Information and may be obtained by calling

If you are currently maintaining an electronic card file, please contact
Mr. Ringe at (615) 576-2616 to arrange downloading of the data into the proper
format for OpenNet.
A copy of each declassified document as well as a floppy disk containing the
required bibliographic information must be sent to the DOE public reading
room.
