There is attached a list of injuries resulting from radiation, pre-
pared in answer to a request from the Joint Congressional Committee
in a letter from James T, Ramey, Executive Bementor
We have included in the list cay those cases in ‘which there were .
outward indications of damage. We have not tried to include those
cases where there may have been blood changes, mo observable disability, or cases where the amount of radiation would appear to
have been sufficient to cause injury but did not. 7
The incidents are taken from records in our files ‘of reported accidents and from cases which we were able to find in your files also.
Within the limits described above, I feel that we have recorded here
all the cases that can be reportedin Mahe matter.
Mr. Hollingsworth has requested that we “got your concurrence and it
wuld be appreciated if you would also check your records evolving
from the requirements of AEC Mamal Chapter 0521 since there may be
some cases where you have a record of "injury" subsequent to first
report which may have only described an"accident."
Please advise if you believe that ‘any more complete information
could be developed by phone calls to the Operations Offices, as sug-~
gested in Mr. Hollingsworth's memorandum.
He has indicated that he would like the information UY. August 16. If
you concur or can add to the information containe
the
7 a
letter will be prepared for the General Manager's signature which I
will clear with you before forwarding for signature.
