DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF STATION: This station was recovered in good condition. The station mark is an aluminum pipe capped with an aluminum cap 2-1/2" in diameter, stamped "Japtan, H&N, 1954". It is set in a concrete monument flush with the ground surface in a 20! diameter depression in the ground. Reference markers #1, #2 and #3 were all recovered undisturbed in the locations given in F.B. 227, pages 7 and 8. They are standard 2-5/8" diameter brass discs, set in concrete, marked "RM 1 (2 & 3)-d&N-1954". RM #1 is 1-1/2 ft. telow the surface of the ground.
