The Comission has detemsined that the doclassification of the total
yisld, the time and location, the scheduled. date of shot PINOW of
Opexation HARDTACK, and the fact that ab sone unepecified previous
tout o 5 megaton total yield device was datonated would not reeult
in serious damage to the nation or be prejudicial to the defense
interest of the nation,
Farther, the Gamnission has determined that the total fiaslon yield
of that event, any inforuation that may be derived frou saxples of
the radioactive cloud and the fact that ths devica being tested is x
ateckpile thernemiclosr weapon mey be published without undue risk
to the common defense and security.
