During the discussion of the proposed high altitude test at the
meeting on February 12, 1957, the Commission requested a report,
concurred in by the Department of Defense, on how soon a test
could be conducted which would conclusively determine cur capa=
bility to detect high altitude shots at long range. The Commission also indicated that the report should be available in time
for discussion at the Commission Meeting scheduled for February 20,
1957.
The attached paper is in response to the request by the Commission.
