This report has been prepared by the Safety
Working Group at the request of the Chariman
of the Eniwetok Planning Board and of the
Commander, Joint Task Force Seven.
The Safety Working Group is a joint study
group, representing the Armed Forces Special
Weapons Project, the Department of the Army,
and the Division of Military Application,
US Atomic Energy Commission, *
The Mission of the group is to study the
safety aspects of the UHA and VHA! events
proposed for Operation HARDTACK (Shots TEAK
and ORANGE, respectively), and to submit a
formal report thereon, with particular
_ emphasis on nuclear safety.
