Dr. York said that while there were no plans for a nuclear test of this
size weapon, Livermore personnel thought that there was a chance that a
weapon of this size could be done with hydrides,
Dr. York said that
some hydride chemical studies were in progress at Livermore.
Dr, York then discussed the possibility of developing small diameter,
small. yleld weapons.
He said that Livermore had looked at three such
devices and proposed to test one or two next spring.
