Mr, Whitman said that he thought the "rowboat on the New Jersey
shore" concept was serious.
The Committee thendiscussed this and other |
aspects of the clandestine small weapon problem, and agreed that the
Situation was indeed serious.
Dr. Rabi mentdoned that while some groups |
were working on the problem he was not reassured,

that the Committee could include something on this item at the meeting
with the Commissioners and General Manager,

Midwest — encouraged in their efforts to obtain a high energy accelerator for ANL, —
