Fall-Out Advisor for the next test and to head a Fall-Out Prediction Unit.

-member of the Field Test Section and one member of the Meteorology Section will

be working with this Unit.

Soil samples were collected and analyzed for alpha activity in

Les Alamos Canyon,

Stream bed samples showed essentially background activity

with one exception which was approximately 4 times background.

Samples were

also taken in Los Alamos Canyon just below Omega Site and analyzed for beta-

gemma activity.

Slight activity was found just below a septic tank outfall.

Specific analysis for Ba and Sr failed to identify it as either of these elements.

for beta-gamma activity.
