Dear Mre. Bescom:

Your helpfulness and cooperation in handling the Marshallese
patients end interpreter are very much appreciated.
It is quite difficult to coordinate the transfer of these people
due to the language barrier and their Limited exposure to the
outside worid. However. it is importemt that their trip be as
pleasant as possible, not only for them, but becsuse of the effect
their experiences will have when related to their families and

friends on their return to the Islend.

This progrem ia essential

to the Rongelep netives and to the ABC. It may contimie for many
years and occasions! trips such es thia one vil) probably be
necessary.

Your personel interest in these people was very helpful especially
in minimising the fears of the little girls. Personally eacorting
them to breakfest and lunch, showing them the area, helning then
get ready for departure, the leis and many other peracuzl touches
you provided went far beyoud the cail of duty. Mr, Edmond also
wished to express his appreciation on behalf of the group. The
treatment here did auch ts offset the very difficult experiences
they had in comiag from Kuajalein, arriving st 2:30 A.M. and the
problems with Tamigration and Custom.

Very truly yours,

Qiny Oypill by ) n Brrtte,
