At Kwxalein, a Navy Medical -S component (hospital dispens~, 5Cbbed) furxifshedby the Eavy Medical Supply Depot, Oahm, arrived on 15 January. The medical persomnel furnished by the Eighth Alr ~orce started to arrive on 5 February and on 24 Febq, totaled three m+ icd officers, one dental officer, and twenty-five enlisted medical corps personnel. AM additional medical officer and fonr -e corps officers arrired about the middle of March. A dispensarywas set up in the area of -Task Group 7.4, The Air Tank Group, which operated independ- ently of the Naval hospital and some of the Army medical personnel was loaned to the hospital to qent the staff.
