We have two suggestions to make concerning the typea of accidents
or incidents to be announced as listed in Page 2 ef the proposed
announcement.
It is suggested that accidents causing death to an exployee
be included in the list.
We would suggest that Item & might be more suitably stated
4n the language we have used in proposed chapter 0523 of the
ARC Manual, to wits
Many ingle rediation incident which results in (or, pending
confirmation, is suspeated to have resulted in) the exposure
of AEC or AkC-cantractor persennsl, or ether persons, whether
on or off-site, to a dose ef ionizing radiation in excess of:
(1) a whole-body (or major argan) dose of 3 rem of gama,
neutron er cerpusenlser radiation.
(2)
the total dose (to the eritical tissue, organ or
region of interest, as a result of inhalation,
