This operation will be conducted by JoiutTask Force 7, commanded. by
Major Genexel Alvin R, Luedecke, U.8. Air Foree. General Iuedecke
vas head of the Armed Forces Special Wego Project of the Departuant
of Defense from June 1953 until heasquned comand of Joint Teak Foros
SEVEN. The Genoral began his direst participation in molear weapons
progrens in June 1949 as the txsqutiveSecretary of the Military
Lialeon Comittee to the Atomte Energy Comission. In February 1951,
General. Lusdecke was eppointed Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces Special
Weapons Project.
