Dear Dr. i * ~ . es : : rearson: Your telephone conversation of July 5th and letter of July 6th both pretaining to the proposed Bikini-Eniwetok survey for this summer have caused us to re-orient our thinking and plans into other channels of research. An Opportunity will now be provided for an inventory of our past efforts and the resumption of some of the projects we have had to abandon during the past years because of insufficient man-power and facilities to continue with them. it is hoped, during you visit of next month, that we can discuss our entire field of research with respect to the program of the Division of Biology and liedicine. We have forwarded to you, through the danford Uperations Office, two copies of the "Radiobiological Survey of Bikini, aniwetox, and Likiep .tolls - July-sugust 1949". . This summer should prove helpful in future planning for resurvey in the Bikini-Iniwetok srea and the extent of our participation in future testing programs. Very sincerely yours, LRD: pr Lauren R.
