br. Dunning's report swenarizes the data through 1956.
Since
that tine three “xadiabiolegical surveys’ have been made July, 1957; March, 1958; and Septeaber, 1955. Mo formal reports
combining all the observations fro ona trip into one report has
been made but sections of data have bem completed and submitted
to DBM,
The Univeraity of Washington asauees that part of its responsibiiity
in the Rongelap progres is to provide inforustion to DBM from vhich
Dx. Bueniazg can eveluste the health hazard to the Rongelapese of
eating the local food item. Furthermore it agasuncs that the
recomeniations and suggestions made by DBN previous to the return
of the natives iu June, 1957 etill prevail especiaily since all the
data fer the last three surveys show no increase in radivactivity~
in fact the decline has been about a8 expected and can be ressonabhly
well predicced.
All the Rongelap data from the University of Washington is om file
ia the Environmental Selences Branch and hes aise been sent to
Dr. Dunning.
