Operator Checks Before Use:
If the instrument does
not meet with the fcllowing operator checks, it should be taken to the
Signal Maintenance Section for repair:
(a) Turn the SELECTOR SULTCH to BATT. position. The
meter indicator should read between the two lines marked "battery,"
(b) Turn the SELECTOR SIITCH to SET. If meter indicator docs not go to zero, adjust with ZERO CONTROL KNOB until gero
reading is cbtaincd. As much as 2 five minute warm up period may be
necessary for movemsnt of thc meter hand tc subside,

With meter warmed up, and arca free of radioactive
contamination, check all moter scalcs to insure that the indicator
stops on zero by turning the SELECTOR S'MTCH sloriy from one posi
to the other,
