Mr. Derry outlined previous conversations with Admiral Parsons on this subject. The Commission conSidered in particular ihe desirability of authorizing and supporting the participation of Drs. Overstreet and Jacobson in the expedition. Dr, Warren pointed out that in his opinion it would be preferable that samples be collected at Bikini and returned to this country for analysis rather thanto permit the participation of additional radio-chemists for the analysis of samples at Bikini. The matter was deferred for discussion with the Military Liaison Committee.
