Dear Dwight:
It was a pleasure seeing you on my recent visit to Majuro and
I am only sorry that I could not stay longer.
I was very happy that
the survey went so well in spite of that rough trip on the Ralik Ratuk.
Honolulu I brought this subject up with the AEC there and they have
no objections to this, and have agreed to let the agreement regarding
AEC use of the buildings at Utirik remain as previously. They have
also agreed to furnish two 5 KW Diesel generators for our use during
the Utirik surveys and they will be shipped to Kwajalein in the near
future.
I would like for them to be held there until such time as
you have received the final okay on school use of the buildings.
I would
then apprecite it if you will arrange to have the two generators transported on one of the ships and off loaded at Utirik.
They can then be
used for school purposes in the interim between surveys.
I think I have laid the necessary ground work for the return of
the 4 Marshallese patients and Sebio as interpreter.
The final dates
of their travel will depend on how soon in May you are able to get
and
to Ebeye.
It should be no trouble getting
to come from Rong Rong school with Sebio.
are wellacquainted with these plans.
and
When you have any information in regard to the above plans I
would appreciate hearing from you.
Sincerely,

I appreciate your trying to straighten out the land owner problem at Utirik in regard to the use of the AEC buildings for school
purposes in addition to our use for surveys.
I hope that you will be
able to straighten this out soon through the top Lroj.
