Dr. Walter W. Weyzen
Human Health and Assessment Division
Department of Energy

Washington, DG

Dear Dr. Weyzen:

At the June 13, 1979, meeting with the Bikini-Kili Council Delegation
in my office, a question was raised concerning the results of the whole
body counting carried out on the Bikinians who were moved from Bikini
Island last August.
This matter is outlined in Item No. 9, "Whole Body Counting Reports,"

in the "Notes" of the June 13, 1979, meeting.

A copy of these "Notes"

is attached for your use.
I promised that I would write to the Department of Energy to find out what arrangements could be made to inform
these individuals of the results of the whole body counting examinations.
I would appreciate also any comments you might have on Item No, 10,
This refers to the claim that some of the Bikinians supposedly were on
Rongelap in March 1954 and were exposed to the fallout from "Operation
Bravo," The question was asked whether certain individuals possibly
might have higher body counts because of this alleged exposure,
Sincerely yours,

Coces. Ven Chin
