observed that in view of the size of the operation and
‘the possibility that one-point detonation tests will be
carried on in the near future, it might be advisable to
reconsider the decision to cancel Operation DD'IE,
The Chairman asked to be informed concerning the
size of the organization now maintained at the Nevada
Proving Grounds.

Suspension of Work on the Merchant Ship Reactor Project
The General Manager reported that in view of recent
adverse congressional action he had ordered the suspension of
all work by the staff on the Merchant Ship Reactor, The
Commissioners had no objection to this decision,

Mr. J.C. Johnson reported on raw materials
receipts for May and on arrangements for the construction
of additional milling capacity in the U. S,
He also reported that Mr. C. D. Howe of Canada
had expressed concern on the question of future U, 5,
requirements for Canaidan uranium when present procurement agreements elapse, He had indicated that if there is
not to be a Canadian Government market for uranium
after that time if would be necessary to inform the
