headquarters was located on Parry Island where two specially equipped
trailers allowed adequate operating facilities. Trailer facilities and mar, jower were assigned to two other sites, including Bikini, where requirements
necessitated continued support,

TASK UNIT 10, LASL ASSEMBLY
TU-1C was formed in July°1955 ‘for the purpose cof handling all assemfy and zero point readiness for firing of al} LASL weapons. A further responsibility of zero cab planning for the coordinated use by both weapo: ard
sliagnostic programs was assumed.

The initial phase of operation of TU-10 started with the appointment of
a task unit commander as a functioning member of J Division Office and
sitting as a member of TU-! Staff. The primary object of thio initial phase
was to establish personal liaison between the diagnostic programs of TU-1
and the groups of LASL W Diviston, LASL GMX Division, and SC whose
prime function was the manufacture of the Redwing devices during the initial
phase. It is felt that the establishment of this early liaison was worth the
effo.t and should be tried again. Great care should be used, however, to
have Halson that is familiar and sympathetic with both weapon and dilaynustic
programs.
TU-10 moved into a second and active phase with the shipment of
Redwing devices from LASL. At this time personnel from W-1, W-7,
GMX-3, GMX-17, and Sandia became actively engaged in TU-10 activities and
frmed the total TU-10 team at the PPG.
