A construction permit previously issued to the American Machine & Foundry Company for
the cozstruction of a 5,000-kilowatt pool-type reactor at Plainsboro, New Jersey, w2s amended
at the epplicart’s request to transfer right, title, and interest in the construction permit and
the proposed facility being built from the American Machine & Foundry Company to Industrial
Reactor
Leboratories, Incorporated.
A license was issued the Massachusetts Institute of Technology authorizing operation of
its 1,090-Eilowatt heavy-water-cooled and -moderated reactor at Cambridge, Massachusetts.
This reactor will be used for medical research and therapy as well as general research.
