Attached hereto is the subject report as proposed by the working
committee for your submission to SecDef and the Chairman, AEC. The |
gist of the report is well summarized in the Conclusions and Recommen-
dations on pages 3 and 4,
Basically, this‘consists of establishing
the Joint Task Force under DASA during fon-test™periods and jointly
under DoD and AEC during test periods..A: The plan also calls for a
roll-back of the EPG to a 12-months’ maintenance stand-by status.

While this is recommenied in the report, I feel that in the final
analysis, based on an equitable allocation.offunding and cost
studies, it may prove desirable to retainsome active facilities
on PARRY Island.
This reservation is ‘further substantiated by a
PMR schedule of anticipated services desired, “which was just
received in DMA on 3 Aug. I believe that anoral reservation on
your part to the other members of thet -eendy group will suffice
to cover this point.
