As I indicated to you previously, I plan to make the trip during the last two weeks of June. It now appears that I will depart Washington on about Jane 15 so as to arrive in the forward area at a tine to perait observation of the detonation of one of our megaton test devices. In general, the trip will follow a senedule of three days spent en route iniwetok, with overnight stops at Travis Air Foree Base in California and dickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, a stay of four days in the Pacific Proving Groandarea, and a period of four days spent on the retara trip. All told, the tine away fromWashington will be about elaven or twelve days.
