The analytical methods are satisfactory for all types csample except milk.
There is considerable loss of cesium in the dry
ashing process, even at 500°C.
Still lower temperatures and a wet
ashing process are being evaluated.
The methods for analysis of Sr-90, Sr-89, Cs-137, calcium,
strontium and mixed fission products are included in the Analytical
Branch Laboratory manual, which is being issued in loose-leaf form
as NY0-700.
