DrNarvik asked me for specific information regarding the bnewetak Feople
now en Ujilang AteLL. This fiaformation is required in order to properly
evaluate the radiological data which will remlt fron the present raidio-~
logical survey of mnewetek Atoll.
i sniswered his questimns to the best of my ability with the information
at hand at the tine. Nowever more specific data must come from the District
Conter. it may be necesaary to obtain these data fron the Ujilamg Community
on Ujilanz Atoll. I will atteapt to gather as much data possible Locally.
i recomend that auc efficials involved, and you anc appropriate nesbers
of your staff visit the Ujilamy Community early in the procraa to aiplain
the survey, the overall prograa, including plas for rehavilitation md re
pettleowant to the people there. This will esteblish rappers with then, will
cispel falae rusora, rectify erroneous information, will clarify the altuation,
and supply information. Such a meeting will make the people feel, anti know,
that their wishes are of utaost importance. The input of infornavion oy the
mnewetsak feeple, and tueir coments will be of crest velue and assistaca to
all concerned in the future ef snewetak Atoll and the inewetak Feopla.

accompanied by your represmtativesa of course, I also recaumend frequait
