! “Phere Was & continuation of the formation of blisters
on both the right and left hands with the left hand being the more
severe up to about the 7th of June. In view of the drainage from the
blisters and the fact that healing was beziming, ths hands were surgi~
Pally debrided en June 23rd and wrapped in burn dressings, Hew dress-
ings were applied on the 6th of July and at this tins healing wes con-
tinning, The dressings were changed again on July 20th. The right
fPand at that tims had hsaled except for the indsx and middle fingers,
which still show unhealed greas,

The left hand shows two wlosrated
ereas which do not appear to be healing and may require skin grafting
in the future,

new skin, The left hand was covered with a very thin and sensitive
layer of skin except for several:very srall ereasa which are still unhealed,
It is prebable that there will be coruplete spitheliration of both hands
but that the akin of the left hand will be| permanently thin and atrophic.

@vidence of injury. The left hand began to improve about the l3th ef ©
dune after blisters had formsd over the palmar surface of all four
fingers, the thusb and about one-third of the palm, The burns were
surgically dstrided and dressed at the saue tins az

On July 20th the index and middle finger still shoxed ulcer -.
ated areas and it {fs felt that skin grafts may be necessary on the
index finger.
