Exceptionally high counting rates were observed at altitudes of 75,000-300,000 feet. He sai this raised a question whether there was an accumulation of radioactive debris-from the Mike shot above the north magnetic pole. Electrostatic collection of particles at high altitudes will be attempted to see if this can be verified. This matter was discussed and the view expressed that the high counts probably had nothing to do with Mike debris, but rather were caused by the auroral zone. : Mr. Murray joined the meeting at 1:55 p.m More information on Sunshine developments was given by Dr. Libby.
