Conduct radsafe re-survey of Rongelap.

Collect domestic animals remaining at Rongzlap village.
2. The undersigned acted as JTF SEVEN and TG 7.1 representative
and was responsible for 2xecution of lb and le. Since the NICHOL.S will-
makes @n overzll report, and detailed reports on ld and le will be made
by the project officers concerned, the details in this report are con-
fined to 1b and lc.

3. It is noted that the scope of activities lb and ld was more
limitsd than had originally bsen planned, s&s will be clear from the re-
port of the NICHOLS, this was because 26 March became R-1l after ths work
started. Thanks miinly to the excellent planning and management of Capt.
Joseph Zliot and dxecutive Oificer Cliiford Frink, much more was eccomplished than might reasonably have been expscted under these circumstances.
lc and le were accomplished essentially as planned, but la had to be
omitted.

The radsaf2 re-survey was conducted by Mr. P.R. Schiavone of TG
7.1, TU-7, using two recently calibrated AN/PDR-39 instruments.
Readings
on Rongelap Island were taken during the morning and on the oth-r islands
during the aft-ernoon of 26 March.
