Two females from this sroup spawned during the sonth
and thelr ezss wero fertilized with sperm of male fish fron
pareots thut Bad received the saue ray treatmuant.
As this group of fish mature the plan will bs to nate
fish thct have received the same treatuat.
It would be
possible to oross-breed some of these fish in guch a way that
the differential effect on the sexes could be detormined.
Our present assiznment, however, does not call for such a
procedure.

Study of the seales of the six (6) fin sarked steelheuds
captured on the lower Columbia River in the commezial fishery
indicate that they were from the releases 2zade into Icicle Croek
during the spring of 1945.
It is expected that others of this
group will return to Iciole Creek this spring.
Arrangements
are being sade with the Fish and Wildlife Service to attempt
to make such recoveries at their Leavenworth Station.

The work on goldfish avaits gummarization and reporting.
