Fish samples were obtained from the shell craters north of
the island.
Tide was dropping and poison was slow to react so
after 2 plus hours of collecting the fish were still dying.
Many species of fish were collected.
Plankton tows were made in the lagoon by towing the 1/2

A pit was opened in the center of Engebi Island for
soils samples.
A well point was driven to six feet deep at the
same site, but no fresh water was obtained.
