Radiological Safety - Physical Examinations.
Reference:
Annex J of Field Order #1 (Radiological Safety Plan).
1.
Paragraph 4(a) of the reference requires that all personnel
entering areas containing radioactivity or working with radioactive
materials shall receive a complete physical examination including chest
x-ray, blood count and urinalysis and that reports of such examinations
shall be in the hands of the Radiological Safety Officer prior to
departure from the United States.
Such reports as have been received
by the Task Force Radiological Safety Officer have been delivered to
Commander Task Group 7.6 for review and recording.
It is desired that
reports which are late in submission be forwarded to Commander Task
Group 7.6 direct who will ensure that they reach the hands of the Task
Force Radiological Safety Officer as required.

A check of the records now on file indicates that reports of
physical examination have not been received in the cases of certain
persons who are believed to be subject to employment in radioactive
areas.
In many cases, the reports on file are incomplete and fail to
